What I Am Up to in 2019…..

There have been a lot of BIG changes happening in my personal and business life recently.
As I step into the future version of the wellness + fitness coach I want to become, I am becoming more uncomfortable the more I grow.

WHY IS THAT? Have you ever noticed that when you want to achieve BIG Goals, you hear yourself saying.. “That isn’t possible… you should be more realistic”

But what if being realistic is being more of a ‘dreamer’ and at the same time more intentional about what is possible for me to create in my life, how I can motivate others to improve their lives and most importantly, how I can lead by example for my family.

A lot of people tell me that what I want to achieve as a teacher and a wellness coach is impossible. And I say… “it may seem like that right this minute, but in my mind it is VERY POSSIBLE”

When I tell my clients that they can improve their health, become stronger, create more energy, lose the weight, gain muscle and just FEEL LIKE A MILLION DOLLARS EVERY DAY, they tell me that is impossible.

And I get it, because they don’t feel that way right this minute – but I guarantee this feeling is available to them.

As a matter of fact, we can always choose what to feel – at any given moment – and so the FEELING of a MILLION DOLLARS is always available to us…

BUT, there is work to be done.

2019 is going to be a year of expanding my reach and helping more people.  As a matter of fact, I want to help people in a BIGGER CAPACITY than I have in the past.

My mission is to help people create confidence, strength and well-being from the inside so that they can look like a million dollars on the outside.

How?
I’m going to tell you, but first a story.

I have been coaching Yana for the past 13 months and I have to tell you she is blown away by her results.  Shen came to me when she had finished her first year of racing. She was excited to work with me as she liked my energy in cheering teammates on at the end of races.   After just 3 months, she started getting faster and feeling stronger. Within 5 weeks in March and April of 2018, she got 5 personal records in the 5K, 15K, 10 Mile, 20K and Half Marathon distances.  She finished the year with 11 PR’s, and I am very proud of what a year she had!

Or how about Bruce – he came to me with a BIG MISSION – having never run a marathon before and not even being a runner, he wanted to raise money for his son’s illness at the New York Marathon. I had never been faced with such a coaching challenge.  I built his mileage and speed slowly throughout the summer and he finished in 5:15, very very respectable for a first marathon.

….

What I do for my clients::

My students always have a unique goal in mind, and this is something that helps them move forward and achieve their goals – they have  a BIG COMPELLING WHY behind their hard work…

But I make sure to keep them accountable and help support their mission through my high-touch and highly personalized coaching programs that include nutrition, fitness and mindset.

How about you?? What are you passionate about and are you thinking of making a life change?

I would love to hear your thoughts, so just hit reply and let me know what you are up to in 2019. I respond to all the emails that I receive, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Trials of miles,

I have been running for over 35 years, having done practically every possible racing event or distance from the 100 meters through the marathon. I competed in varsity high school cross country and track at Saddle Brook High School in the mid-1980's, varsity cross country and track at Division II Pace University and finished well over 200 road races since then, including 20 marathons with a lifetime best of 3:14:50. I was the president of the Hoffmann LaRoche corporate running team for 7 years, growing the team from 25 to over 90 during his tenure. I coached many of these runners to achieve their goals, whether they were beginners or advanced. In 2011 I was an assistant coach for the Fair Lawn Recreation track team, helping the 10 to 14 year old group. I am currently personally coaching dozens of runners, from beginner levels to advanced levels and getting them to be prepared to meet their goals.

  1. All the best, Nick. I have no doubts that you will achieve whatever you set your mind to doing! The voices in our heads telling us that something is impossible are saboteurs we need to shut down. Others telling is that our goals are unachievavle have self doubt themselves. Tell them to move aside and watch you! I know first hand you’re a great coach and will achieve greatness for yourself and your clients!
